More soup sir?
POSTED AT 09:14 AM

i was duty manager for two days (one of those i called in sick) before i quit in disgust... not only was i not allowed to invite friends to party in empty hotel rooms but apparently i had to work eight hours every day... apparently this was a great benefit that was fought for... seems to me like the working class sold themselves a little short there... four days a week and three hours a day - now that would have been something...

so anyway, tired of continually being on call to serve people, i decided to try my hand at being a waiter... i was soon serving traditional asian delicacies such as snakes, rats and even st bernard dogs... it was such a joy to see the expressions of the asians as i served them the food... when i tried to give my friends the same food back in australia they'd leave in disgust and the rspca would soon be at my house removing all my 'pets'...

At your service
POSTED AT 05:49 PM

i've always liked the idea of hotels... here's a place where people apparently exchange their dignity for your money... leave your dirty towels in the bath tub, we'll replace them for you... just put your leftover food (food which could be used to help pakistanis) outside your door, we'll take it back to the kitchen for you... can't make your bed? go have fun - we'll tuck the sheets back in... forgot that you had to clean yourself? dont worry, use our soap and shampoo... you can't wake up by yourself and don't know how to set an alarm? we'll stay up and give you a call...

so during my first bout of self-discovery, i figured maybe i was meant to run a hotel... with some resume help i was quickly able to attain a job as a bell hop at the federal hotel... being a bell hop is really crappy so i paid off the person in charge of promotions and i was soon duty manager... yes, maybe i had found my true career path...

Lord of the Blogs
POSTED AT 01:53 PM

it's been almost three months since i last blogged it up... i know you have all been bored, wondering whether there would ever be another who would shine a light in the dark world of blogs... so arise out of your boredom - as faramir would say, "who can sleep when the king is returned"... or something like that...

the truth is, like aragorn i have been in self-enforced exile, trying to find my place in the world... i have been going back to my roots, to south-east asia (also affectionately known among tourists as "a holiday destination") meeting various people and trying various things... you see, i was so disheartened that i failed to make this list that i thought maybe i was never meant to be a model... never meant to have my own domain like other good-looking guys...

over the next few entries, let me take you on my journey of self-discovery...

Christmas time
POSTED AT 10:41 PM

merry christmas everyone... i know i've been pretty slack but very soon i will give you all a big update and a revamp - yes a revamp! - of my blog... more bloggalicious than you could ever imagine...

but yes, getting back to christmas... why not check into a church at this time and hook up with what really went down on this day some two thousand years ago (and even what was going down in the world unseen)... hope you all have such a blessed time over the holiday period... love ya all heaps!

It's been a long time
POSTED AT 12:20 AM

i'm so sorry... i've let you all down... i know you come here to be fed... to receive... to learn... to know... to grow... and i've done nothing... i haven't been here for you... instead i left you with a motley collection of blogs that just don't cut it... i promise not to do that again...

instead i will leave you with some people who you should ask along as your friend... john is a monster - like almost literally... i imagine him eating tin cans and stuff... weny is a brother all the ladies need to hook up with... he and his (literal) brother are hot (or so i'm told)! or how about this karaoke lover or this "model" or this girl (don't be mean to her, i think a stroke left her with one side of her face paralysed)... dude, i don't even know some of these people but only because they won't respond to my random requests to add them as friends

Busy me
POSTED AT 07:14 PM

i've been so busy i've had to neglect this blog for quite a while... and will continue to do so until i stop doing so... in my absence may i tell you all about a few blogs i visit once in a while, with a brief description of what to expect... for those who wish to keep their hearts and minds pure, i've attached a dodginess warning so that you can use discretion with your reading:

felicitious: okay, i actually know this blogger in real life but if you read her blogs you'd know just as much about her as i do... dodginess rating: !# (mildly dodgy - sometimes contains inappropriate graphical images)

here she goes again...: what's with the "..." on the end of a blog title? meina is a science nerd with a degree in nerdy science and nerdy law... she aspires to be world-renowned nerd with a nerdy scientific nerdy item named after her nerdy name... dodginess rating: ! (hardly dodgy - sometimes contains information about personal hygiene better left unwritten)

wild women do: look i'm not cyber stalking her... if she just gave me her phone number, address and passport number i'd stop sending her emails everyday... dodginess rating: !#@ (quite dodgy - doesn't mind the odd cuss here and there)

joebulasorijoenal: do you think you have some issues you need to work through? spare a thought for this guy... i orginally found this blog because he has one of the coolest pictures up on the net!!! dodginess rating: !#@$ (dodgy - psycho thoughts and ideas all up in here)

cidade de deus: i think the title is latin for "i am a bizarre one"... this dude uses big words he doesn't understand - talk about gregarious! the intellectual homogenizing of his particulates are most gyrating... no one this marzipan should be allowed to hypocrite about the pronouns... dodginess rating: !# (mildly dodgy - swears a little but gets the # for just being boring)

My Guy
POSTED AT 03:05 PM

have you guys heard the news?!? guy sebastian is the australian idol... hope this isn't spoiling it for anyone who hasn't watched the final yet but i just had to let it out... i really thought shannon would win, but a late voting push from me (i voted two times at about 6:30WST - an increase of my voting by forty percent!) carried guy over the line...

of course i've had the dude singing in my car since february this year and i've already watched him live... and personally i think i look just as good in an afro...

Vortex!?
POSTED AT 10:14 PM

okay, what's with the word 'vortex'... me and my friends use it a lot but we use it in context.... these days everywhere i go these it's vortex this and vortex that... "check out that car, it's like vortex man"... "have you heard the latest news - talk about vortex"... "that is a pretty vortex dress"... there's no end to it... i know it's a cool word but seriously people...

talking about cool words that people really overuse... i really love the word 'hypocritical'... it seems bloggers really like that word too... i also love the word 'ironic'... and bloggers love that one too... but they don't seem to know when to use the word... which is really ironic when you think about it... i mean, if you're going to use the word don't be hypocritical about it when you use it... it's all a bit vortex (note the correct usage)... anyway, yeah, overused words, it's all rather dodgy...

Spinning
POSTED AT 12:59 PM

like warren, you are now all friends of the dj... well of a radio dj anyway... carousel was open for shopping this past sunday and 92.9 set up a booth to transmit live from there all day... i was a guest presenter for a half hour slot during the afternoon and it was so fun... i got to play all my favourite songs and i got to answer heaps of questions from heaps of fans... i wouldn't change careers but i think it gave me an opportunity to again show an outstanding ability to adapt to a wide range of professions...

note: this was really just a test post that i thought i had deleted... my boss wanted to set his home page to a blank page but said he had 'lost' the general tab on his internet options... yet it gets more comments than 99% of my other posts? therefore it will be left on to boost my comments-to-posts ratio which is the ultimate test of a blog's worthiness...
